This is a traditional basque farm house located up in the mountains of the Baztan valley, ten kilometres away from the village of Elizondo. It is an excellent place for 'agroturismo' (farm tourism) and offers a first hand experience of life on a basque farm. Visitors can participate and observe in the tasks around the farm such as gathering eggs, feeding the livestock, milking the sheep and picking vegetables that are later served for dinner.

The Zubieta Hotel is built on the site of the old stables of the Zubieta Palace. It’s a comfortable and welcoming hotel, full of surprises right from the first moment as you walk under a stone arch and up a path leading to the main entrance lined by bamboo canes. Inside the hotel there is a delightful combination of fabrics, rugs, carpets and antique furniture, terracotta tiles and exposed beams. The hotel is only a few metres away from the centre of Lekeitio, a typical Basque fishing port, with its three beaches. This listed building was once a defence tower in the 16th century, restored to it’s former glory and converted into a great self-catering holiday house in the year 2000.
