Authentic, restored 100+ years old, small hotel B&B on main square next to fishing port of Luarca. Luarca is a genuine functioning fishing port full of life and activity all year round. Old streets line the river and houses perch on the cliffs, great restaurants, bars and tapas bars, seafood and fish at the port, daily fish auction when the boats come in, and lively market (Wednesdays) with local produce. We restored the hotel in 2002, as it is a listed building keeping all the original features like the tall rooms with large windows and terraces onto the street and the original style and furnishing in the bar. We are right next to the Tourist Information Office, we also have maps and information for you and lots of good suggestions for where to eat and drink and days out. Further information: Full ensuite bathrooms in each room all with hydra massage showers and bath.
Located in the centre of town opposite the town hall on the main square and with easy walking distance to bars, shops the port and beaches. Parking on the main square but it is a blue pay zone between 8 and 20 hours, otherwise park in the street behind or by the river.
Internet access - broadband with cable (provided) in the rooms and WIFI in the bar. Free of charge. TV and telephone in the rooms, lift access, hairdryers etc.
Bar cafeteria is open from 8a.m till midnight or after. Breakfast is not included in the room price and is served in the bar where you can choose your own breakfast from our wide range of foods and drinks, fresh expresso coffee, orange juice etc.
The town fiestas are second and third weekends of August and the week between has a lot of festivities. It is very noisy at night during this time! Otherwise the town is lively but fairly peaceful the rest of the year. It is a good central town for visiting the western part of Asturias, 5 mins to coastal motorway. A lot of hidden fishing ports between the cliffs and many excellent beaches of all sizes.
